TD Sequential · countdown
The 13, defined
A TD Sequential 13 is a later countdown that can start after a finished 9. NineRadar lists who completed a 13 after the close. A 13 is still a count, not a buy or sell order.
A 9 comes first
Countdown does not start from a blank tape. It waits for a finished 9 and for intersection. It may begin on the 9 itself.
Thirteen is rarer
A finished 13 shows up less often than a finished 9. An empty 13 list after the close is normal.
Bar 13 has an extra test
Bar 13 must wick through bar 8’s close. If it does not, the app plots + and waits. That is not a finished 13 yet.
An unfinished 13 can cancel
An opposite 9, a TDST break, or a recycle (another stretch of nine) can cancel a countdown that has not finished.
How this differs from the 9
The 9 is a consecutive setup: nine closes versus four bars back. The 13 is a countdown after that setup. The bars that add to 13 do not have to be consecutive in the same way.
People search “TD countdown” and “thirteen after nine.” Those names point at this later count, not at a second overlay on a broker chart.
How NineRadar shows it
After the close, the tape can list finished 13s next to finished 9s. Some 13, Perfect, and TDST details are Pro. Free still shows whether a 9 finished.
The 13 does not forecast the next bar. A one-way market can print 9s and never complete a 13, or complete 13s and keep going.
FAQ
What is a TD Sequential 13?
A countdown that can start after a finished 9. It is also called the thirteen-count. It completes less often than a 9.
Can I count 13 without a 9?
In NineRadar’s rules, countdown waits for a finished 9 and intersection. It is not an independent mark you paint on any chart.
Why does a 13 show as +?
If bar 13 does not wick through bar 8’s close, the count is deferred. That is not yet a finished 13.
Is a 13 a stronger trade signal than a 9?
No. NineRadar does not rank 13 as a better order. It is a later structure. History still does not forecast.
